You may also visit the traditional fishing harbour in Sekondi. The harbour is very colourful with the canoe and the activities of the fish mongers in the area is very interesting. Batik-clad women with babies on their backs skillfully balance loaded baskets of fish on their heads defying gravity. In the endless wave of fish mongers, one hears voices everywhere engaged in bargaining for fish. Recently a new modern fishing harbour has being built near the local fishing harbour at Sekondi that can accomodate big fishing boats.
